The First General Assembly for the Second Semester (First GA, for purposes of brevity), held on November 17, 2014 at the SEC Lecture Hall C, kickstarted the second’s semester lineup of activities. There were various presentations coming from the Executive Committee about the office/committee as well as what to expect for the incoming semester. One of the more notable projects that was presented during the GA was the Angkan Scheme, in which its launch was during the GA itself.
The mythology-themed Angkan Scheme, headed by the project heads Ian Carlo Blanco and Veronica Mae Baguio, launched the project by sorting the new members into the four Angkans: Synesi (Wisdom), Pallikaria (Courage), Dynami (Power), and Dikaiosyne (Justice). They were made to choose a particular sorter with a laptop, was given a specific set of instructions that would determine their Angkan, and were stamped according to their choice. Needless to say, the newly-sorted members were welcomed with much excitement by the old Angkan members.
The whole program ended with a GD among Angkans in which Dikaiosyne won (but did not garner any points) and final reminders for the Angkans.
The Angkan Launch is a project under the Social Adjustment committee.
